Consonant spellings, adjacent consonants and vowel digraphs/trigraphs
Written completion only; sound production, listening and segmentation are not assessed.
Official requirement source ↗109 activities across Years 1–6. See what each activity practises and where additional teaching is needed.
Controlled practice means there are exercises for the stated forms or distinctions. Limited practice means only part of a requirement or a recognition task is available. Not assessed means this service does not currently check that skill.
Completing a worksheet does not demonstrate mastery of a whole curriculum requirement. The statutory word banks include every entry and listed variant for Years 3–4 and Years 5–6; their activities practise written recognition and completion, not dictation or independent recall.
Spelling requirements for Years 3–4 and Years 5–6 are shared bands. Our individual year placements are a suggested practice sequence. Earlier skills can be revisited: the Year 4 short-verb doubling activity revises Year 2 content.
This module does not assess reading comprehension, extended writing, speaking, listening or phonics screening, and is not complete English, SATs or 11+ preparation.
